The advent of the top 5

My buddy Alan started his blog a few months ago with the intent to post a top five list every week. He almost succeeded, but ended up talking about things like soccer and hard drives and whatnot. I shall pick up where he left off starting today, this friday the 19th of January.

I probably won't be able to keep it up, but nobody actually visits my site regularly anyway, so I don't feel too much pressure.

The first top 5 was a couple of months back, the top 5 smells. This time around I'll start with something a bit less all-encompassing.

Top 5 YouTube videos regarding cats:

1) CATS

The title doesn't explain much, as with most YouTube video, but the content is great. Most likely taken from a show of the "Planet's Funniest ___" variety, this is probably the best montage out there, mainly due to the falling kittens.


2) Un chaton qui a sommeil 眠たい仔猫

French, so it seems, this video is one of the many sleeping kittens videos that are on the site. This one is the best in my mind because it showcases the rapidity of transformation from active to asleep. It is also cute enough to make my head asplode.


3) Really expensive cat toy

Having seen the hilarity that computers can bring when coupled with adolescent cats, this video brings it full circle. Allowed to control the computer, the cat skillfully makes use of multiple media systems to create an experience worthy of a tech display show.


4) Cat from Hell

Not all cats are nice. This one probably didn't live much beyond this video. Makes you wonder what happened to it.



5) When Cats Attack

Scary. They are truly the hunter/killers of urban life.
