Parking Lot Solar
From the "Duh" department, Envision Solar has begun installing photovoltaic canopies over parking lots. Great idea.
Parking lots are possibly one of the least visually attractive aspects of the automobile-centric society, and though I still don't think that this is as attractive as underground parking, it is at least making good use of part of the modern wasteland.

Underground parking is a great thing. It protects your vehical better, keeps it cool and warm. IT becomes less of an eye sore.
The main reason I feel that underground parking isn;t ised is that it costs more then pavement in the short and long run. It also costs more to repair if it becomes damaged.

Yep, people aren't really concerned with aesthetics enough to attach a real price tag on them. At least not for the most part.
