Getting Closer

We're getting ever closer to the day on which I'll replace the old index page with this one.

I find it interesting that I update this page that no-one sees but can't bring myself to put even a cursory update on the index.html that is showing right now.

Ahh, well.

I must organize my video, and my stills, then I will make blogs for each and put them up. I will also move this page into the fore, and officially usurp the placement of the old busted-ass site.

Temporary decision.

I've temporarily decided to go with the leaves shot that you see over on the left. It works well enough for the time being, as any visual interest at all is good at this point.

I'd ask people to comment on what they think, but no-one knows that this site is here, so I'll just sit quietly and think about whether I like it or not.

Thus far the blogger template idea is fantastic. All of the work is done by Blogger.com, all I have to do is post every once in awhile and design the template. Pretty snazzy. Free, too.

Now is the time.

To start getting serious.

I'm pretty happy with the format that my page has taken on, and I've worked out all the kinks in the site/template that I can think of.

I still want to put an image up on the left, but can't think of much that would not be cliche or overdone. The thoughts that I'm having now center around a waterfall or something of that nature, but perhaps I should try to focus on something more simple, a branch or leaves or something of that sort.

I should take some pictures and see what I can come up with.

2nd test

This here is the second test post for my new site/blog.

I like the idea, and it seems to be working swimmingly. I'll put more text in here so as to fill multiple lines and start to create the look that I would be aiming for in a normal page.

I like the idea of placing links a-la BoingBoing in this area, so perhaps I'll ratchet up the post limit to 20 or so. Maybe 10 would be better, since I tend to be somewhat verbose, and lots of text can turn people away.

The other thing that I have to look into is the possibility of including an imago over in the navigation area. I also have to determine if it is doable to include a third blog consisted of mainly videos. We shall see.
