Tomorrow is a new day

Tomorrow is another scheduled meeting, and we will hopefully be discussing more on the project. That is, if Adam can just stay on task and stop telling me about a new Fire Station in Sim City 4. What a dork!

Nothing Ventured

Nothing gained. We didn't get anything done this week, as we spent the whole time arguing about computers.

Episode 1

The first episode is ready for storyboarding.

Perhaps a couple of rounds of storyboards and a more in-depth outline will give us something that we can actually start shooting. We plan to have a product by the end of spring, in May.

Likely the product will be mainly a blocking exxcersizze, but it may end up turing out well, if we try with all our faces.

Next step: deciding on characters/actors.

Outlining

Alan and Adam have started the real outlining process of episode 1. Finally, they actually worked on something for more than 15 minutes, and they plan on actually getting more done next week, as Adam will bring art supplies so as to facilitate the creation of storyboards.

Coming

We've taken a long break over the holidays, but will be getting things rolling again this week.

Two weeks

Next week something will actually get done.

Our homework is to be thinking about the first episode, so that we can start writing it, and start blocking it out.

From the WriteBoard

Text from the writeboard:

<------------------>

Some things to think about:

1) When we want to start the story.

Starting the story after the aliens have taken over opens up doors to explain things while they are happening, and makes for easier story development, as we aren’t worried about the backstory at all.

2) Timeframe (2006 or 2015 or 2050?)

My vote is for present day.

*present day would be easier considering we already have present day settings and clothes. kudos

3) Story arc
4) Imagery
5) Good twists for the story arc

6)Characters:

This will be important for our developement of story arc, as we will need to have characters backstories built in.
